KATY AND LARRY BRYDON ~ Co-Owners and Managing Directors
Larry Brydon, co-owner and managing director of MacLaren Jewelers, has over 40 years experience in the jewelry business.
He is a graduate of St. Christopher's School and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the Virginia Military Institute...where he sold his first diamond! His 20-year banking career spans positions from teller to President and CEO. He is a graduate of Command and General Staff College, United States Army and is a retired Lieutenant Colonel, USA.
Larry has been active in volunteer work on both the west coast: Rotary International, The American Cancer Society (VP Fundraising) and east coast: Kiwanis International (Foundation Treasurer), member of The St. Andrew's Society of Washington, D.C. and a Founding Director of the American Foundation for the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow, Scotland.
Katy Brydon joins her husband, Larry as co-owner and managing director of MacLaren Jewelers.
She began her music career in San Diego, CA. Attending St. George's School, Switzerland, graduating from San Diego High School and going on to Indiana University School of Music, Katy was a Corbett Foundation Fellow and accepted a contract to sing at the Deutsche Opera Berlin in the late 1960's. In 1971 she sang major and supporting roles with the Oldenburg Opera in northern Germany. In the U.S., she performed on both coasts on the opera and concert stage, and then becoming a Presentational Effort coach teaching for many years in San Diego, Irvington, VA and at St. Catherine's School in Richmond.
She is a member of the Woman's Club and a Founding Director of the American Foundation for the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow, Scotland.
Cindy Creasy, President of Creasy Woolfolk Concepts, is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications. Creasy Woolfolk Concepts is a “boutique” firm specializing in personalized client services. Having experience in virtually every aspect of the advertising and broadcasting industry allows a unique perspective and gives her clients an advantage in the marketplace. Cindy’s approach is that of a multi-tiered effort that considers all aspects of positioning, creative concepts, marketing, media negotiation and placement, and public relations.
